BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/FOX58) —
Upgrades continue as the former Camelot Park entertainment center is converted into MB2 Entertainment.
The Southern California Company has invested about $2 million in upgrading and rebuilding the area.
General Manager of the new location, Chris Wilson, said the area is getting a complete makeover from the old property.
“We’ve redone the batting cages 100 percent, the miniature golf course 100 percent, brand new cars, new courses, we’ve got arcade games coming,” Wilson said.
“I’m happy to be a part of what we’re doing here, the owners are fully invested in this property and the community, making this a great place to have fun and be safe while doing it of course,” he added.
The style of the former Camelot Park raceway has remained the same, but has been completely renovated.
According to a press release, the capacity will accommodate up to 1,000 people.
“We’re going to have a full beer garden outside, we’re going to do concerts, we’re going to line dance, you name it, we’re going to do it,” Wilson said.
Amid construction, the entertainment center will host a career fair looking to hire full- and part-time positions.
Wilson added that the entertainment center will have a job fair from Nov. 17 to 19, they plan to hire about 150 people.
MB2 Entertainment is expected to open sometime in December.
