Banning film reviews won’t save film industry: Mammootty | Entertainment news

Actor Mammootty, who is playing the lead role in the upcoming film ‘Kathal The Core’, is of the opinion that a ban on film reviews will not save the film industry. The actor was speaking during the film’s promotion in Kochi. He also said that people should not be influenced by other people’s opinions and should only formulate their own views about a movie.

“Let there be films and reviews. But it’s important that people have their own opinion about the film they watch. I don’t think banning reviews will save the film industry,” he said. The actor’s words take on significance as review bombing has become a major concern for filmmakers in the industry. Recently, the Kochi police had registered the first ever case of notification bombing after a filmmaker alleged that there have been deliberate attempts to deface his film.
