Brantley Gilbert to perform at Salamanca casino February 10 | Arts and entertainment

SALAMANCA — Seneca Allegany Resort & Casino is giving music fans in the Southern Tier and surrounding area plenty to be thankful for this season with the announcement that Brantley Gilbert will perform at the Seneca Allegany Event Center on Saturday, Feb. 10.

The tickets go on sale on Friday at 10:00.

Gilbert has charted a successful course in country music over the past decade. The Jefferson, Ga., native began singing and writing songs when he was just a teenager. He grew up listening to country music, but he also listened to rock bands like REM, the B-52s, and southern rock bands like Lynyrd Skynyrd.

According to Gilbert, a near-fatal car accident he was in at age 19 spurred him to dedicate himself to his musical career.

“I remember thinking, ‘This could be over at any moment. I want to make sure I’m at least doing what I love,'” he told Country Rebel in 2018.

Upon moving to Nashville, he signed with Warner Chappell Publishing and began work on completing an album. “Modern Day Prodigal Son” arrived in 2009 from Average Joe’s, who also released the follow-up “Halfway to Heaven” in 2010.

Gilbert’s authentic songwriting resonates with audiences, vividly portraying the narrative of modern blue-collar life in America and has won him numerous industry awards, including Country Music Association Awards, Academy of Country Music Awards, American Music Awards and other accolades.

A committed supporter of the US military, Gilbert has embarked on numerous USO tours and headlined benefits for America’s men and women.

“They were so grateful that we were there that we came back and felt like we were the lucky ones,” he told the USO in a 2019 interview. “We felt lucky just to get the chance to do it.”

His latest album, “So Help Me God”, was released in November 2022 with the singles “The Worst Country Song of All Time” and “Heaven By Then”.
