Healthcare systems software company to expand headquarters in Charleston County > Charleston Business Journal

QuicksortRx, a software-based services company that provides pharmacy supply chain management solutions for healthcare systems, will expand its headquarters with an expansion in Charleston County.

According to a press release, the $220,000 investment will create 41 new jobs over the next three years.

The company is moving from its current location in the Charleston Tech Center to a larger, 4,000-square-foot facility at 2 Cumberland St. in Charleston. The new facility will accommodate workforce growth and allow QuicksortRx to host on-site conferences for clients.

“Charleston is a great city to live and work in,” Jonathan Yantis, co-founder and CEO of QuicksortRx, said in the release. “I’m fortunate to call this my hometown, and we couldn’t ask for a better place to grow a business. It also helps that talented people want to move here.”

QuicksortRx, originally founded at the Medical University of South Carolina, helps healthcare systems streamline pharmaceutical market analysis to reduce the cost of quality healthcare, the release said. The platform unifies purchasing, cost and compliance information to simplify supply chain management and ensure hospitals secure medicines at the best price.

“Congratulations to QuicksortRx on their remarkable journey of growth and success. This expansion is a testament to their dedication, innovation and unwavering commitment to improving healthcare through technology,” said Charleston County Council Chairman Herbert Ravenel Sass III in the release. Born at the Medical University of South Carolina and raised within the Charleston Digital Corridor, QuicksortRx has expanded not only its physical space, but also the boundaries of what is possible in healthcare.”

The activities are expected to be online in December 2023.
