I have canceled my Thanksgiving plans, says Martha Stewart | Entertainment
Martha Stewart has “cancelled” her Thanksgiving plans.
The 82-year-old TV star has already canceled plans to host a dinner party after “someone got sick”.
During an appearance on ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show,’ Martha shared, “I gave up on Thanksgiving. I canceled. Nine guests canceled because somebody got sick. So … I called my chef friend and I said, ‘We’re not doing Thanksgiving.'”
Despite this, Martha has already prepared various Thanksgiving meals over the past few weeks.
The author – who actually gave Kelly some cooking tips – said: “I’ve also cooked 14 turkeys already for my TV show and I still have [cook] another turkey on the ‘Today’ show. So forget it.”
Meanwhile, Martha previously encouraged other women to “challenge” themselves.
The TV star appeared on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue and Martha wants other women her age to take the same “fearless” approach to life.
She wrote on Instagram: “I’m so excited to be on the cover of the @SI_Swimsuit issue! My motto has always been: ‘when you’re done changing, you’re done,’ so I thought why not ready for this opportunity of a lifetime? I hope this cover inspires you to challenge yourself to try new things, no matter what stage of life you’re in. Change, evolve and be fearless – they’re all right good stuff. (sic)”
Martha also insisted that she doesn’t really worry about aging.
She told Sports Illustrated: “I never think about age.
“I have friends who are 90 and I have friends who are 20, and it’s a very good way to look at life because age is not the determining factor in terms of friendship or in terms of success.”
