Winter Wonderland officially opens with Christmas tree lighting | Entertainment
Hanford’s Winter Wonderland hosted its opening ceremony Saturday night at Civic Park.
Despite the threat of showers, a good crowd of several hundred visited Civic Park to see the additions to one of Hanford’s premier seasonal attractions.
Speeches by Brad Albert, Hanford’s Director of Parks and Recreation, and Mayor Travis Paden, along with a medley of holiday songs by the Hanford West High Choir, preceded the lighting of the Hanford Christmas Tree.
As in previous years, the main attraction is the rink and the 90-minute sessions allocated to each skater. New this year is the addition of Wonderland Village at the west end of the park.
